Canuto is the manager of the beautiful young Elvira Rosas, a beauty contest winner from Kansas whose domineering mother wants her to make it big in Hollywood. He is in love with her, though she is unaware of it and her mother hates him anyway. On the train ride there, the group meets Larry Mitchell, a suave Hollywood star who seeks to make Elvira his next conquest.
