Susan Trexel is a rich socialite, who while vacationing in Europe experiences a spiritual transformation. On her return to America, Susan takes on the job of dispersing her new found religious experience together with her closest friends — just to drive them mad. Her husband Barrie, and daughter Blossom yearn for a secure family life. Barrie will also become sober, trusting that Susan will heed her own advice, and save their marriage and loved ones.
