When Ed Carter and his gang violently raids a Shoshone village, killing their women and children, Captain Ed Trask finds himself trying to calm the Shoshone, who are ready to declare war on the white men. Trask finally captures Carter, but his troubles are only just beginning. Carter’s compatriots are trying to get the drop on Trask, the town is overflowing with poisonous snakes, and a local young lady’s hatred of the Shoshone isn’t helping to calm racial tensions any. But Trask ultimately prevails, as the Shoshone warriors are just as eager as Trask is to see Carter brought to justice.
