In 1926, Warner Bros.’ Vitaphone branch made movie history with its “sound-on-disc” recording process, and the studio-within-a-studio would go on to make a variety of short subjects: musicals, stage revues, comedies, documentaries, and more. This six-disc set offers 53 one- and two-reel gems, several in early Technicolor, from the Vitaphone vaults. Featured stars include Judy Garland (with The Gumm Sisters), The Nicholas Brothers, Patsy Kelly, Leon Errol, and El Brendel.
