The reporter spends only twenty hours in the village. In his conversations, twenty years of history unfolds. Familiar with “President Joe’s Life”, a childhood friendship with Anti-Balogh. Yet, the years of transformation’s pitfalls have made the old friend catch a gun in 1956. Another tragedy of 56 is revealed before the reporter: he shot down his buddy, Bénit Kocsis, party secretary, Sándor Varga. Jóska, who has struggled to fight, is no longer alone. Although the co-operative’s management is still difficult to make decisions, there is a great deal of resistance to the newer, but the past cannot repeat itself.
