When the prestigious Dr. Arne Lundell ends the most important work of his life, a colleague from the University of Stockholm, Dr. Sander, lodged a complaint against him for plagiarism. Marianne, wife of Arne, does everything possible to encourage her distraught husband who does not understand the reasons for this unjust accusation. In these circumstances, Sander found dead. It seems that this is a suicide, but soon finds that it actually has been murdered. Suspicion falls on Dr. Arne fatally. The dramatic situation begins to unravel when Arne discovered, by chance, a letter by which discovers that his wife was the secret lover of the missing professor.
