In age 9, Tommy Woodry has a reputation for telling tall stories — the newest one being that his family is moving from Manhattan to a ranch out west. After the landlord accomplishes the Woodrys in dinner to reveal their about to be vacated flat, the Woodrys inform Tommy enough is enough. Then hot summer night Tommy decides to sleep on the fire escape — out the Kellerson’s apartment, because it’s a narrative greater and gets longer breeze. Tommy sees the Kellersons kill a guy. Tommy’s parents and the authorities will not think his story. However, the Kellersons wish to quiet him.
