In 1867, Nebraska becomes a state, but still has no permanent peace with the Indians. Federal scout Wade Harper has a peace mission cut short when chief Thundercloud is murdered, supposedly by Harper’s Indian comrade Wingfoot. Harper’s efforts to get justice for Wingfoot are sabotaged by escaping murderer Reno.
