A nightclub singer loses her husband in an auto crash, and shortly afterward witnesses the murders of two narcotics agents, also suffers a nervous breakdown. The authorities come to feel that three murders are associated, since they had suspected her husband had been involved with a heroin smuggling ring, and they believe she might have been involved in it — particularly once they find a massive stash of heroin concealed inside her apartment.
