As one of the most respected and enduring alt-rock bands of all time, indie rock group Guided by Voices (of which Pollard was the creative voice) almost single-handedly kicked off the decade s ”low fi” craze of the 1990 s on the strength of such classics as Propeller and Bee Thousand making fans out of such renowned artists as Eddie Vedder and the Strokes in the process.
