Construction boss Harry “Stretch” Clay (Charles McGraw) brings in young steeplechaser Tom Kittredge (John Ericson) to work on an ambitious project — a towering skyscraper — but learns that the new hire has eyes for his alluring girlfriend, Mary “The Babe” Thompson (Mari Blanchard). Torn between the two men, Mary watches as her suitors’ rivalry reaches dizzying, dangerous heights in this melodrama based on a novel by William B. Hartley.
