This film aims the poetic portray an abandoned town, called Pyramiden, surrounded by eternal ice, far away in the arctic. An amnesic time traveller gets lost on a glacier nearby and arrives at the emptied out settlement. Some isolated people living actually in the ghost town hire him as a chronicler. But the time traveller cannot understand the local rules and successfully tries to escape until he understands that he is already in the realm of the dead ones… The story adapts strangs by Hermann Kasack’s romance “The City Beyond the River” and the film integrates arctic ambience music and sound by Biosphere.
