When he sees his days are old count Hervé p Kéraudren decides to hide in a secret alcove and to perish there, simply to frighten his heirs. As a consequence of the own body not being discovered the latter might need to wait around for five years till they can inherit the count’s cash. Quite upsetting really, all the more as they have to maintain the Kéraudren estate meanwhile. To accumulate cash, nephews and nieces arrange a Son et Lumière display at the manor whilst busily searching for the lost corpse. Butunexpectedly, they have murdered in turns. Murders or mishaps? Jean-Marie, his fiancée Micheline along with his cousin Edwige research and eventually succeed in exposing the offender.
