The story was an obvious forerunner to A Stolen Life with Bette Davis with Luise Ullrich playing a double role of two twins of which one was innocent in prison and visits her sister who however drowns in an accident when both women go sailing. She takes her role and her lover as well which naturally creates all kind of problems.
