After escaping from prison, Carlos meets the naive Robert on a train. Robert carries a good amount of money that he has stolen from the bank where he was working. Carlos uses his girlfriend Evelyn, a cabaret singer, to grab that money so he can sail to Australia, but in the meantime Evelyn falls for Robert.
