Samotári / Loners (2000) David Ondricek, Labina Mitevska

Robert works at a travel agency with an unusual specialty: staging scenes from the everyday lives of “typical” Czech families for curious Japanese tourists. He also moonlights as a matchmaker, occasionally meddling in the love lives of his friends. One such intervention involves separating Hanka from her boyfriend Peter, a radio announcer obsessed with broadcasting raw, unscripted moments of “real” life. Meanwhile, Vesna, a Macedonian woman who claims she came to Prague for its superior UFO landing potential, may have other motives. Hanka soon finds herself pursued by Ondrej, a formerly respected brain surgeon who’s now unraveling — and through him, she meets Jakub, a heavy marijuana user whose short-term memory loss causes him to forget he already has a girlfriend. Disillusioned, Hanka flees to her parents’ house, only to find it turned into another tourist attraction — with a group of Japanese visitors quietly observing her family’s dinner.
