In 1942, a detachment of scouts led by Captain Migunko is thrown into the Crimea occupied by the Germans. By unexpected coincidence, the reconnaissance group seizes a car with Abwehr officers heading to the diversionist school. One of them, the German, perishes, and the second, the traitor Dvigubsky, for fear of his life agrees to extradite a Soviet intelligence officer for the murdered German officer.
