Two local Taoist Priests, Chin and Wu, compete for the task of handling the corpse of a triad commander in a Chinese village. Wu sabotages Chin by resurrecting the corpse, turning it into a vampire. While Chin and his disciple Tai-Fa battle the vampire, another disciple named Wei Chui (a small-time grave robber) accidentally transfers some of his breath onto a female corpse while trying to rob her grave, reviving her, who mimics his every move.
