A draft, his wife, his son and a man who pretends to come to a miserable lobero people of Abruzzo. During the harsh winter, wolves are the greatest enemy of man in his frequent forays to the people, incited by hunger, kill the sheep, cows. So the neighbors have to hire hunters of wolves. Patiently waiting for one pass through the village, to provide accommodation, food and a few lire for each dead wolf.
