Ce dernier semble être le seul à connaître la vraie personnalité de Simone et la considère comme la seule femme digne d’être son interlocuteur. Leur amour chaotique sert de prémisse à l’oeuvre majeure de Simone de Beauvoir: Le Deuxième Sexe.
