Robert is a professional and artist, in Vichy after breaking up from his wife, Véronique, herself recently engaged. Robert finds it disturbs him to stand in the corners of their house of Juliette and Patrick and see her cook. She believes he is a prowler and faces himthen invites him . Soon, she has dumped Patrick, determined she is in love with this stranger, and pursues him. The authorities are incompetent, Véronique sees a chance to play revenge matches, and also the impressionable Juliette is ensnared by notions of death. Can anybody exercise rationale?
