When Betty Bell, a dancer at a swanky nightclub Le Toboggan, is found dead in a telephone booth suspicion falls immediately on her lover, Philippe, a former stuntman. Monsieur Georges, the club’s owner, helps Philippe to evade capture by the police, assisted by a young singer named Juliette. As the three hide out in the latter’s apartment, waiting for an opportunity for Philippe to make a safe getaway, they each recall the series of events that led up to Betty’s death. As they do so, it becomes apparent who the murderer is…
