In times of Lorenzo the Magnificent, Neri and Giannetto, two young Florentine, maintain a bitter rivalry. In the center of contention are the favors of Ginevra, the beautiful courtesan who both contend with fierce knavery. After yet another mockery of Neri, cruel and humiliating Giannetto a trap and involved in a brawl, after which him arrested with the accusation of being clouded by dementia. With rival offstage, Giannetto addresses Ginevra’s house to celebrate it, confident that no one can stop him. Meanwhile, Neri, he chained in an underground dark, outraged by the guards and the crowd, it gnaws on hatred.
