A newspaper publisher fails in love with a female singer and starting spending enormous amount of money to satisfy her. Alongside he is accused of a murder and he’s being inquired by a police officer who is in love with the same woman.
Theofilos Palios, the head of an Athenian publishing house, falls for Sia, a sexy female singing performer and plays big spender without having the means to. He soon becomes penniless as well as a murder suspect and is persistently interrogated by Police Inspector Nikas who also falls in love with Sia.
Beautifully shot by Giorgos Arvanitis this is Panayotopoulos’ attempt at Neo-Noir with the usual references to books and writers which are, in this case, absolutely justified as the film deals with the world of bibliophiles, writers and publishers.
