The plot of ”Lonely Heart” concerns a gunman who murders all the occupants of a bookstore. But this quickly becomes the story of the policemen who investigate the crime. One of them was engaged to one of the victims and must now go on with his life. Another, the man with the two children, is still pondering his wife’s defection.
