Fred and Lilly are a divorced pair of actors that are brought together by Cole Porter who has written a musical version of The Taming of the Shrew. Obviously, the couple appear to behave a good deal as the characters that they playwith. A struggle on the opening night compromises the creation, and two thugs with the mistaken notion that Fred owes their boss money and insist on staying next to him through the evening.
