In Honolulu, Hawaii, after a long-time firefighter dies in a fire set by arson, his son Clay returns home after being away for three years. He rekindles a relationship he had with a photo-journalist, who is the daughter of the fire chief, who was his father’s best friend. Clay decides to join the fire department. Shortly after doing so, he goes partially blind due to a chemical fire, and then until his eyesight gets good enough to rejoin active duty he is placed on the investigative arson squad. There’s been a series of arson fires and as they continue he is part of the effort to find the man responsible.
