Professor Henry Jarrod is an actual performer whose wax sculptures are life threatening. He specializes in historic tableau’s such a Marie Antoinette or even Joan of Arc. His business partner, Matthew Burke, wants a number of his investment returned and compels Jarrod to possess more lurid exposes such as a chamber of horrors. Jarrod is thought to have died in the fire but he suddenly reappears some 18 months after when he opens a new exhibition. This time, his screens concentrate on the gruesome but he’s yet to replicate his most cherished work, Marie Antoinette. When he meets with his new helper’s lovely friend, Sue Allen, he knows he has found the ideal model — just unbeknown to anyone, he’s got a very particular way of creating his wax inventions.
