Mrs. Cummings, a free-lance magazine photographer and a recent widow following her husband committed suicide, along with her version, Susan, are within a mission to cover hotels California and Nevada. Driving west from Las Vegas they pick up Jim Henry, a recently-discharged Marine, Who’s hitchhiking into the home of a friend near the Salton Sea. Meanwhileback in Las Vegas, a blond known softly by Jim, is found murdered. Jim becomes the object of a manhunt led by Police-Lieut. White Eagle of the Las Vegas authorities.
