Recently paralyzed 19-year-old Mark is sent to a rehabilitation facility where he becomes suicidal. Therapist Lisa saves his life by promising he’ll be able to climb an Alpine summit once again like he used to. And so she begins to assemble a group of climbers, including other patients at the facility, mountaineers and a few juvenile delinquents, to brave the hazardous journey along with herself and young Mark.
