Ricardo is contacting friends that he knew 25 years ago when rock n’ roll was flourishing, and Argentina was ruled by a military dictatorship. His best buddy from those days, Ernesto, is glad to hear from Ricardo but astounded to learn that he has married Ana, the great love of Ernesto’s life.
For a time, it appears that Ernesto and Ana will re-kindle their love; but Ernesto meets a new woman, Vera, and at movie’s end literally runs to see her. He’s realized that the past is past and that Vera is his present.
