After Mike Hagen and Marilla Brown wed after a whirlwind love on the west shore they come back to New York to discover they don’t have much in common. She’s a clothes designer who resides in a swanky flat and whose friends are celebrities, artists and so on. He’s a sports writer who enjoys to go baseball games and horse races. They love one another and also make every attempt to become more flexible. After a mobster, whom Mike was accusing of mending sports events, decides to go after him he should pretend to be outside of the town and mayhem ensues.
