Marcos, a labor leader, is beaten by the thugs of the bosses and is forced to reclusive while his colleagues hesitate to continue with the strike they are carrying out. The one in charge to protect him is Aurora, militant of lefts that works like professor in a secondary school. The film offers a bitter look at the years of the democratic Transition in Spain, portraying the frustrated hopes of a broad social sector in the newborn Spanish democracy.
