Director Jan Schmidt-Garre’s dramatization of a crucial period in the life of the Austrian composer. In his mid 40s, with his music studies completed, Anton Bruckner (Joachim Bauer) is now confronted with the decision he knew he would have to face one day: leave for Vienna and follow his dreams of becoming a composer, or remain in his home town of Linz and settle down to life as a teacher.
