New York City teen Chuck Brennan (Jackie Cooper) gets involved with a gang and tries to make his way on the streets, inspired by his shifty father, Foggy (Guy Usher). He meets orphan girl Nora (Maureen O’Connor) and tries to do a good deed by setting her up with a singing gig at a local club, only to have the plan backfire when underage Nora is taken in by social services. And as time passes, Chuck’s gang gets into murkier water with high-level crooks, putting him in a dangerous spot.
