Christina is a Prosecutor’s wife who lives in an old mansion by the sea, in a remote city where her husband’s work has brought them. She’s feeling lonesome and has no real connection to him so it’s only a matter of time before she finds a lover, a lonely painter living in a hut at the seashore. She never reveals her identity to him nor does she tell him she’s married. When he finds out, he becomes violent and the situation soon gets out of Christina’s control.
