In Portugal, in the 60s, the corpse of a man appears on Dog Beach. The corpse is identified as being Major Dantas, a man sought after by the local authorities after his escape from a military prison where he was awaiting trial for insurrection.
Inspector Elia, a solitary man, believes it was due to dispute on political beliefs.
Has the investigation unfolds, Elias constructs a violent loving relationship between a beautiful young woman, Mena, and the fugitives…
