Ttosun, a young hard-working woman with a good heart, falls in love with driver Jae-gu, but her father disapproves of the match. Ttosun sets out to live independently on her own terms, working many different jobs to save up money to buy a car and start up a business with Jae-gu. Ttosun provides a realistic portrait of the working class experience and the changing roles of women in the early sixties.
