In 1900, the Martindale family is in dire straits, due to eccentric Hugo’s spendthrift ways. His daughter Evelyn Martindale is proposed to by rich Peter Varney, but she loves the poor Julio. But younger sister Kathy plots to save the day, not realizing that father Hugo has plans of his own underway.
