In the late 60s of the twentieth century, a wave of revolutionary sentiments spread across Europe. The newspaper correspondent tries to reflect what is happening in his notes, visiting summits in various countries, including the “iron curtain”. In the meantime, the girl will run away from him to a German student, who is distinguished by radical political views. The journalist manages to return the beloved, but soon he is confronted with a difficult choice: finding a compromise between one’s own convictions and journalistic ethics proves too difficult …

En compagnie de son ami intime, Alberto, il s’en vient a Paris pour suivre une conférence et tenter de renouer avec Annie, une ancienne maitresse, perdue de vue, mais jamais oubliée, qui a pris comme amant, un jeune dessinateur, prénommée Ulrich, lui apportant, a l’opposé de Paolo, équilibre et poésie.
Mais l’ancien couple semble renaitre du passé, via un voyage vers la Pologne … Mais Annie fera un choix différent.
