From a novel by noted author Setoguchi Torao, this modern-day movie stars the great Misora Hibari. With a strong supporting cast that includes Usami Jun and the mega- star Takakura Ken, it is a tale of youth, family and romance. Not to mention the wonderful music and songs that Hibari brings to all of her outstanding work. When Kenji the sailor finds out that Harumi who works at a hotel bar is his fallen comrade Yajima’s daughter, it leads to a romance between the two. But can their love survive the hardships of a sailor’s life and the power of a large shipping company?
