The Bunker (1981) George Schaefer, Anthony Hopkins, Richard Jordan, Cliff Gorman, Drama, History, War

Back in 1945, The Third Reich is in its death throes with the Allies relentlessly attacking the capital town of Berlin. Its Fuehrer, Adolf Hitler, retreats to his fortified bunker in Berlin together with his senior team. There, gripped with the two delusions of grandeur and grief, Hitler controls a hopeless last stand with tools present largely in his own mind. While resisting the pleas of logical minions such as Albert Speer, fundamental reality finally comes inevitable. Together with that, Hitler and his fanatical fellows prepare for their end even as their grandiose dreams are getting to be a smoking ruin over.
