Jimmy O’Brien (Robert Lowery)and Sammy Rubin (Sidney Miller), write jingle commercials for radio, and meet Mary Adams (Dona Drake), who wants to break into radio as a soloist for a band. The pair take a recording of Tommy Taylor’s band and make a a record with Mary doing the vocal. Throught an error, 10,000 pressings are made and released through the record company owned by J.P. O’Hara (Tim Ryan).

Matt Blaine and his son, Jim, and their men, rob John Dawson’s bank, although Jim doesn’t approve, even though Dawson jumped Matt’s mining claim. Their accomplices double-cross them and the Blaines escape by canoe. They are followed and meet Royal Candian Mounted Policeman Bob McDonald, who helps them fight until all three men are wounded. Aided by Chinook, McDonald’s dog, they escape but Matt dies. McDonald then sets out to prove that Dawson was the real culprit.

Princess Mei Ling pays a visit to the Chan residence, where upon being admitted by man-of-all-work Birmingham Brown she refuses to give her name, but hands Birmingham her ring to show to Charlie. While Chan is being summoned, a mysterious figure shoots a dart at the beautiful Princess who manages, before she dies of poison, to scrawl the name “Captain K” on a handy piece of paper. When the police arrive, Charlie has to admit that he does not know the identity of his murdered visitor, but that he means to find out. What he learns is that Mei Ling has brought with her to America the sum of one million dollars, in order to buy airplanes for the Chinese struggle for freedom. Someone has stolen the money, and someone may be trying to divert the planes into enemy hands.
