Recreating the early twentieth century in Bucharest, leading to an unforgettable journey to the cultural space of Romania bohemia. The film follows the life of one of the famous for his landscapes and still lifes most renowned painters of Romania. Many of the works of art that appear in the film can only be seen in the National Gallery of Art in Bucharest, and almost never travel outside the country. Like Beethoven composed music while losing his hearing, Luchian paints as his fingers are paralyzed. The recreation of the artist’s life is so complete that it was filmed in the same bed and room where Luchian spent the last moments of his life.
