Alan Mowbray and Donald MacBride as fly-by-night theatrical Manufacturers Avery and Crandall. This time, our heroes attempt to weasel money from a possible backer, spinsterish millionaire Hattie (Elisabeth Risdon). Part of this plot necessitates Avery and Crandall to present as the seafaring friends of Hattie’s long lost fiancé, causing the typical complications when Hattie finds her out fiancé was lost at sea in any way. She decides to proceed and rear them anyhow, and they are ready to place on the series, despite much more complications which lead to a really humorous dress rehearsal, really.
